PROTECT YOUR INVESTMENT!
Materials & Suppliers At Colorado PDR, we use only the best products on the market. When you’re comparing window tinting prices, it’s important to compare quality to quality. With cheaper window tinting products (which we never sell), most are simply dyed films that turn purple in three to six months. With many of the inferior window tinting products, the layers of film can separate, peel, or bubble. While money saved upfront can seem attractive, the most expensive window tinting job becomes the one that fails first. We take pride in using high-quality products from 3M and SunTek.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS Once window tint has been applied to your car, truck, van, or SUV, we recommend that you do not put your windows down for two to three days. Wait seven to ten days for the window tinting to completely dry out (during which time any water pools or hazy and foggy areas left over from the application process will go away). Once the tinting on your windows has completely dried, you can clean them with soap and water or any glass cleaner as long as it’s stated on the product that it’s ammonia free or safe for tinted windows. Care for 3M Clear Bra. Once your 3M Clear Bra has been installed do not use a drive thru or high pressure car wash for 5-7 days. We recommend that you wax your 3M Clear Bra at least twice a year. Use waxes that do not contain dyes, abrasive polishes and/or rubbing compounds. Any wax build-up along the edges can be removed with a lint-free cloth.

Window tinting prevents glass from shattering and flying, which, in case of an accident, can prevent serious injury. Please note that with pre-tinted windows, the tinting is in the glass and isn’t a material put on the glass, which means that it doesn’t offer any safety protection. In addition to safety, auto window tint has other significant benefits, including:
Decrease the heat in your vehicle – Today’s window tints can provide up to 78% heat reduction, which can reduce your air conditioning usage and make it more comfortable to get into the car in the summertime. Reduce fading – Window films block up to 99% of UV rays, which means less wear and tear on your dashboard, wood trim, carpet, and seats.
Diminish health risks – UV rays are also harmful to your eyes and skin, so window tinting acts like a “sunscreen” for you and your passengers.
Cut hazardous glare – Glare from sunlight and headlights can impair your vision. Auto window tinting on side and rear windows can reduce glare.
Increase security – Darker window tinting can make it more difficult to see inside your car, van, truck, or SUV, which helps deter would-be-thieves.
Enhance appearance – Window tinting products come in a variety of shades and can enhance the appearance of your vehicle.
If you have a vehicle with window film that is too dark, faded, blurry or bubbled we can help. Window film can be removed from almost any vehicle without damage to the glass or rear defroster. We use steam to remove window film from rear windows to avoid damage to the defroster lines. The removal process on a full vehicle can take 2-4 hours and 10-15 minutes on a single side window. The cost varies depending on the vehicle so please call for pricing.
Colorado Automotive Tint Laws
Auto tinting laws vary from state to state. Following are Colorado tint laws.
Darkness Of Window Tinting The darkness of window tinting is measured in terms of Visible Light Transmission Percentage (VLT%), which refers to the amount of visible light that comes through the combination of film and window. Colorado has two options. Colorado’s tint laws permit the following:
Windshield – Non-reflective window tint is permitted on the top four inches of the windshield. Front Side Windows – Window tinting is permitted as long as it allows at least 27% VLT. Back Side Windows – Window tinting is permitted as long as it allows at least 27% VLT. Rear Window – Window tinting is permitted as long as it allows at least 27% VLT. OR
Windshield – Non-reflective window tint is permitted on the top four inches of the windshield. Front Side Windows – No tint on the front two windows if the back allows less than 27% VLT. Back Side Windows – Any % is allowed if there is no tint on the front two windows. Rear Window – Any % is allowed if there is no tint on the front two windows.
Reflective Or Metallic Tinting According to Colorado state law, no metallic or mirrored appearance window tinting is allowed on front windows, side windows, or back windows.
Other Colorado Window Tinting Laws and Regulations By Colorado law, no red tint color is permitted, mirrors are required if back windows are tinted, and no sticker is required to identify legal tinting.
